Now I have one at my house , but simply connecting it the way the directions in the book describe won't produce any sound. My mother said that she, too, had to have professional help setting it up. I experienced the device at my mother's house and thought it was fabulous. Must have a wiring person help.
I received a reply saying it would be investigated and would be in touch with me and then to be totally ignored leaves me totally disillusioned with the way Amazon handles customers.Pat Quinn Clearly it says replacement earpads. Page 2 of the manual listed what should have been included. First by phone and was told I would be credited with it, second email which was ignored and 3, emailed customer service. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with Amazon. I paid $217 for this product. Three times I have contacted you.
Could be easier. Using the included microphone resulted in a pickup of many extraneous noises until the Sennheiser tech advised that the mike must be placed right on the throat of the speaker. The Sennheiser 810 listening system works well but was troublesome to set up. Connecting it to the output jack on my TV would provide sound to the headset but not from the speakers so others in the room would hear nothing. Problem solved but only after some puzzlement and phone calls.
Apparently, the problem is with the central unit, not the headphones themselves. We then tried the old headset from our broken TV listening set with the same result. What gets me is that I could have spent half the money with probably much better results. I bought this more expensive TV cordless earphone set to replace an old set which had died (different brand with larger style hearphones). Unfortunately, after setting it up we found that only one side of the earphones on the headset worked. We decided to bite the bullet and keep this set anyway, however Rick has chosen to use the old earphones with this TV listening set.
My wife is much happier also. You just use low volumn on the TV, and adjust the volumn on the headset. This is a great product. These wireless earphones make it very easy to hear my TV, even when I'm walking on my threadmill. I'm a little hard-of-hearing,and now I don't have to play the TV so loud.
